Told by a music teacher "as a composer he is hopeless" - Beethoven
Was told that "he couldn't sing at all" Enrico Caruso
Fired from a newspaper because he "lacked imagination and had no original ideas" - Walt Disney
Were told by Publishers that "anthologies didn't sell" and the book was "too positive"
Rejected a total of 140 times. The book? Chicken Soup for the Soul. It now has 65 different titles and has sold over 80 million copies all over the world.
Told by a teacher he was "too stupid to learn anything" Thomas Edison
Failed the sixth grade - Winston Churchill

Even higher than before
I feel so grateful for my latest GPA:, 3,82 which makes my total GPA is 3,55. It means that I can realize one of my goals which is being graduated in 3,5 years ^^. God is so great! I prayed for Him making me be able to do everything with my best and let Him do the rest, and it was granted! yeaaaay :D
When I looked back through my GPA list from the first until fifth semester, I felt awesome. I knew that I made a huge mistake in the second semester. My GPA dropped 0,8 point, a huge dispute. Then, in the third until the beginning of fifth semester, I was busy teaching English, but still I could reach higher GPA and fixed all mistakes made when I was in the second semester, until now my total GPA is 3,55. Again, Thank God!
No matter how bad the reality is, just keep trying and don't give up!
No matter how far something to be reached, keep pursuing it by giving the very best of you. :) .
Try your best and let God do the rest. ^^

Idioms
1. at loggerheads: in a dispute or confrontation
My mom and me were at loggerheads when I was disagree to her opinion.
2. at odds: conflicting, contradictory
Mary and Jane are sisters, but they are at odds for these 2 moths.
The different between at loggerheads and at odds are the is the activity. At loggerheads means that someone is confronting to another person in a direct way through communication or dialogue. Besides, at odds means that someone is not really confronting to another person through a direct communication. They maybe hate each other by showing bad behavior to each other, keep a distance.
3. all thumbs: lacking physical coordination, skill, or grace; clumsy.
I am all thumbs no more. I can do my things properly with my best.

Daddy
I am very glad today because my mom is finally home after her 10 days holiday to Dubai and Turkey. I miss her so much, especially this is my first time for being left by my mom. But I also feel grateful that she went on a holiday trip for that long. It made me realize that family is my everything.
First of all, I want to confess that my relationship with my father is not really close. One thing that I know surely is that he loves me so much, his only child, and so do I. We communicate and meet each other everyday, but he is an awkward person. Since I inherited his character, so I also don't really concern about communicating with him. Last 10 days, there were just 2 of us. Neither me nor my father talked much. Then, on the weekend, we went out together, also with my cousins. This moment was when I feel a bit relaxed and comfortable to talk with him. Then, he told me that on Monday he had to go to Lampung. Only for a day. I was startled and felt afraid. I felt afraid of being left alone at home. It never happened to me before. Besides, I have a bad gut. Then, without thinking too much, I phoned my father to tell him to cancel his one day trip. I told him the reason why, but my father calmed me down. He said that all was gonna be alright. No need to worry. This gut kept haunting me. I was thinking if something happened with my father. I was very afraid of losing him. At that moment, I know how much I love him. I know how much I need him in my life.
